Player-safe haunted corn maze battle map with a square grid

Original player map: 30 × 20 squares, 70 pixels per square, 2100 × 1400 pixels. Assume one square equals 5 feet or 1.5 meters. No GM clues are printed on the player files.

For a VTT, set the scene grid to 30 × 20 and 70 pixels per square. For print, keep the source at full resolution and print at your chosen physical square size; a large map may need tiled pages.

Run this encounter

Lanterns flicker as a farmer asks the party to find a missing bell. The bell was moved by a lonely field guardian so someone would follow its sound. Let players track the chime through the broad corridors and decide how to welcome the guardian.

  • The west and east openings are visible; no player is trapped by an invisible wall.
  • Corn beds block sight through their middle but can be crossed slowly if your table wants a shortcut.
  • The central pale square is a safe clearing for the guardian and the bell.
GM-only clue and placement

Ring the bell faintly at the first corridor junction, clearly at the central clearing. The guardian wants a festival invitation, not a fight.
